Majestic Whale Watching in Sydney

It is pretty safe to say that the vast majority of us have not experienced nearly enough of what Mother Nature has to offer. This planet is a big one and there are enough things to see and experience that it could fill 10 lifetimes.

One such event is participating in whale watching in Sydney. Whales are majestic, beautiful animals that are almost literally larger than life. Humanity is generally obsessed with other nautical species – things such as sharks and dolphins – but whales deserve their fair share of attention.

A Unique Experience

For many reasons, whale watching is an exciting adventure for ages across the spectrum. This is for two reasons: the first is experiencing the wonders that these beautiful animals bring to the table. Being able to experience the beauty that our planets’ animals bring to the table firsthand, live and in colour, is something that not nearly all of us get to take part in.

The second reason is that Sydney, and larger cities like it, has so much to offer in terms of sights, sounds, and wildlife. Being able to experience both at the same time creates the type of setting that creates memories that last a lifetime.

Done Responsibly and Respectfully

There are those that feel that whale watching is unsafe if done irresponsibly. That is why a proper whale watching expedition will be done with the safety and respect of the animals in mind. A proper tour will keep in mind that they are entering into the mammal’s natural habitat and do so with the safety of the mammal in mind.

There is an understanding that tours that are done improperly can have an impact on the way these massive mammals eat and rest. With boats in the area, it can stop them from foraging for food or being able to rest. That is why these tours are done with the utmost concern for the whales, ensuring as little disruption as possible.

Sydney Humpback Migration

Each year, there are large numbers of Humpback Whales that will migrate from the waters in the Antarctic up to the northern NSW/Queensland region to calve and breed. During the late spring and early summer months, this migration will occur, bringing many beautiful humpbacks into the area.

Being able to see these beautiful creatures from the comfort and safety of a cruise allows for safe watching for both the guests and the animals themselves. It also creates a wonderful experience that will be remembered for a long time to come.

If you have not experienced Sydney whale watching, now is the time. Tours are available and they allow you to get up close and personal with some of the biggest and most majestic animals alive.
