Travelling in Thailand in 2022

It was strange. The world stood still for almost two years. Covid-29 brought with it a unique time in our existence, one that we hopefully will not live to see again. Such experiences of lockdowns and isolation caused a stir in the mind. We missed our liberties. We longed for what we once took for granted. For anyone who is a traveler, this was painstaking. It was a long, long two years! However, this has its own benefits. Thanks to this time of thought and contemplation, we now appreciate what we took for granted. We now know how fragile our whole existence is. It hangs on a very thin balancing line; any slight movement can send it all tumbling down. This is great. And as the world opens back up, we can fully appreciate what we can do. This article is all about travel, and the destination on our mind today is that of Thailand. Here are some ways that you can get the best out of your trip to the South-East of Asia.

Learn the Phrases

Although no one expects a tourist to be fluent in Thai, learning the basic phrases can go a long way. Showing basic courtesy by learning these phrases is the least that you can do, after all, these people are letting you into their country to get the experience of a lifetime. By being able to say ‘hello’, ‘goodbye’ and ‘thank you’, your experience in Thailand will be a whole lot smoother. Thailand is known as the land of smiles, if you thought the people were happy before, wait until you see their reaction when you show them your language skills!

Like Adventure, Thailand is the Place for You

If you are the kind of person that likes to be active, challenge yourself and try new things, then Thailand will be sure to live up to your expectations. Whether it be climbing the limestone cliffs at Railay Beach or surfing the breaks at Kata Beach, with some research you will find something that appeals to you. If you decide to surf, you will need to travel to the island of Phuket. This can be a great excuse to see a part of Thailand that you otherwise would not get to! We recommend that you stay in Star Hotel Phuket if you decide to make the trip!

Take that jump, book that ticket and make the effort to get out of your comfort zone. Trust us when we say this, you will not be disappointed.
